Aiguille du Midi Chamonix

Ski & pedestrian pass info

Chamonix is not just one resort, but many resorts connected with buses/trains. Only the Brévent and Flégère areas are connected with a gondola.
If you want to learn more about the different ski areas, head to our Ski Area Guide

If you are a beginner skier or only want to ski one day. We recommend getting day passes at the resort you have chosen, in particular if you are headed to Les Houches, Les Planards, La Vormaine, or le Savoy as these will be a lot cheaper than the all-inclusive passes sold online. This is also the case if you are a pedestrian or going snowshoeing and will not be visiting multiple areas (otherwise, check out the pedestrian multi-day pass with excursion sites at the bottom of this page).

Please also note that if you plan to go up the AIGUILLE DU MIDI or take the TRAMWAY DU MONT-BLANC - you need to book a timeslot ahead of time. These excursions can be included in certain types of passes, but will still require booking a timeslot on this page

For (intermediate and confirmed) skiers

There are two main ski pass options for those who want to and know how to ski.

Chamonix Le Pass: Covers local areas, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers (Brévent/Flégère, Les Grands Montets, Le Tour/Vallorcine, La Vormaine, Le Savoy, Les Planards, Les Chosalets).

  • Mont Blanc Unlimited: Includes all areas of Chamonix and non-skiing experiences (Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc Tramway). Ideal for a complete experience. PLEASE NOTE: RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE AIGUILLE DU MIDI GONDOLA.

For pedestrians, there are also several options available:

  • The pedestrian multi-day pass. This pass is worthwhile if you plan to stay for several days and visit several sites such as Montenvers, Aiguille du Midi, or take the ski lifts to the top of Brévent and eat at Le Panoramique restaurant.
